PENGARUH INTEGRATIVE LEADERSHIP DAN EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT TERHADAP PERILAKU EXTRA-ROLE KARYAWAN PT XYZ

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh integrative leadership dan employee engagement terhadap perilaku extra-role. Variabel integrative leadership diukur melalui wisdom, humility, altruistic calling, emotional healing, organizational stewardship, persuasive mapping, vision dan service. Variabel employee engagement diukur melalui vigor, dedication dan absorption. Variabel perilaku extra-role yang dalam penelitian ini juga disebut organitational citizenship behaviordiukur melalui altruism, conscientiousness, sportsmanship, courtessy dan civic virtue. Kuesioner disebarkan dengan metode sensus langsung kepada 93 karyawan middle management PT XYZ. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa employee engagement karyawan PT XYZ berpengaruh positif dan signifikan, hubungan integrative leadership PT XYZ tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa ketika tingkat employee engagement karyawan PT XYZ tinggi maka hal tersebut berpotensi meningkatkan perilaku extra-role, sedangkan tinggi atau rendahnya tingkat integrative leadership yang dihadapi karyawan PT XYZ tidak berpotensi secara langsung pada perilaku extra-role karyawan PT XYZ. Dianjurkan agar perusahaan menggunakan faktor-faktor employee engagement sehingga dapat meningkatkan perilaku extra-role. Selain itu terungkap pula dalam penelitian, variabel lain yang mempengaruhi perilaku extra-role melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap 4 karyawan PT XYZ. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan meneliti mengenai budaya organisasi, keterikatan karyawan melalui kontrak kerja pada perusahaan dan benefit lain yang ditawarkan perusahaan.
