Aplikasi Duplikator Data Concentrator Unit Berbasis Multi-Agent System

Power line carrier (PLC) is one of the communication technology used by the Automatic Meter Reading (AMR). This technology utilizes low-voltage power lines for transmitting data from the meters that located on the customers to the Data Concentrator Unit (DCU). Data readings are stored periodically by the DCU in the compact flash card with a limited capacity. Currently, the problems are the reading process is initiated by the AMRserver and the DCU is not equipped with data duplication in order to anticipate data losses. To overcome them problems, Initiative Transfer Koncentrator (ITK) was designed based on simple multi-agent system (SMAS) and written under embedded Visual C++ 4 SP 4. Therefore, the duplication process can run automatically and entirely initiated by the DCU. SMAS was chosen because it has an advantage in giving quick reaction from its perception which is the limits of storage and duplication of time. The application also apply Iterative deepening algorithm Depth-First Search to search for data to be duplicated. Results showed that ITK can give a quick reaction that is duplicating the data automatically when data in the DCU storage exceeds the threshold defined as 80% and 90% and when it has passed one day.
